Domtar's DuBois Converting and Distribution Center was originally - Willamette Industries - Willamette Started the original operation in 1992. The plant began as a one shift operation with 6 employees and grew to a 24/7 operation by the end of 1993 employing approximately thirty people producing copy paper utilizing roll stock from our mills and produces approximately 400 TPD (tons per day).
The second plant was built in February 1995 and grew to 24/7 operation by year end employing approximately twenty people producing envelope rolls cut to size and sold to the envelope market. Volume is approximately 200 TPD.
Willamette Industries was purchased by Weyerhaeuser Company in 2002.
The third plant started production in May 2005 and grew to 24/7 operation by the end of 2005 employing approximately nineteen people. We are currently producing folio papers which are sold to the printing and publishing market. Volume is approximately 120 TPD.
Total employees at the present between three plants is eighty.
